From now on we'll be having a look at a few new gadgets each month from Gadget Central.  Some will be useful for your work or home life, and some are just for fun.

This month we feature three items.

USB Numeric Keypad

Here's a handy thing.  Notebook computers are great, but the lack of a proper numeric keypad can be a real nuisance. This nifty USB key pad overcomes the problem.

Simply plug it in to your USB port and type away.  Very good to leave on your desk as a handy addition to your notebook, and small enough to pack in to your bag when you know a big 'numbers' day is ahead.

WiFi-N-Spy

If you have a WiFi system in your home or office, you can check for the presence of wireless network hotspots without the hassle un-packing and booting-up your notebook computer.

This key fob sized device will tell you when you are in a WiFi capable location and indicate the strength of the signal at the press of a button.

And if you think someone's watching, it will also detect the signals transmitted by wireless surveillance cameras.

The Pain Machine

And now for a bit of fun. I thought small business was a pain machine, but check this out.

Pick up the joystick and watch in anticipation as the centre button fills up in red haze while it plays edgy music. When the centre button changes to green, act swiftly and save yourself from a mild electric shock.
