I guess you're looking at this picture of a synth and thinking, "yeah, some new gadget, wha, wha". What would you think if I said this synth is over one hundred years old? They had a long history, longer than we all think. In part one of our look at synthesizers we delve back a long way to where it all began. I have been amazed at what I've discovered researching this story.
